The Austin Mar Thoma Church is part of Mar Thoma Syrian Church Of Malabar which is headquartered at Thiruvalla in Kerala, in India. The Church defines itself as "Apostolic in origin, Universal in nature, Biblical in faith, Evangelical in principle, Ecumenical in outlook, Oriental in worship, Democratic in function, and Episcopal in character.
Formed in 2006 as a congregation, we strive solely to spread the message of salvation through JESUS CHRIST alone, to the entire World. We hope you can join us in worshiping the Lord. We are a parish under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of North America of Europe. Our vicar is Rev. Aji Varghese.
We meet for worship at Christ Chapel, Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest, 501 E. 32nd St., Austin, TX 78705. Till August 23rd, 2015 we are following summer timings. Service starts at 9:30am every Sunday (except fifth Sundays). We typically have Holy Communion in Malayalam on the first Sunday of the month and in English on the third Sunday led by Aji Varghese Achen. On the second and fourth Sundays we have Praise and Worship service in English led by lay leaders.
From August 23rd, 2015 we will switch to our normal timings with Sunday School at 9:15am and Service at 10:30am.
